The winery is located between the old vineyards and forests of the countryside of the coastal mountain range that divides the DO Alella. Since the first vintage produced in the modern winery, in 1981, the philosophy has been to extract the maximum possibilities from the genuine variety of the area: the White Raisin, named Pansa Blanca.
The innovative, avant-garde and international character of the Celler has given some wines with constant evolution, maintaining to the maximum the respect to the natural product and to the identity of the zone.
The grapes go through the selection table, pressed whole grapes and fermentations at low temperature trying to preserve the properties of the fruit. All the plots we can are pressed and vinified separately. The use of small fermentation tanks and barrels helps us to vinify separately and to discover the properties of each plot. We research and discover new things every day.
Since the birth of the Marqués de Alella wine (currently Raventós d’Alella), its vineyards have had to coexist with the urbanization of these lands near Barcelona. In recent times, the expansion of the Natural Park of the Serralada de Marina has guaranteed us the future and makes us especially optimistic about the future conservation of the wine heritage of Alella.
